ishinoko is a community organised music, food, and arts festival taking place in the satoyama village of Takigahara, Ishikawa. A team of young people from Japan and overseas are living and working together with the local Takigahara residents to revive matsuri traditions that have faded away since many local young people moved away to the cities. First held in 2020, this year marks the festival’s 5th anniversary. Bringing together domestic and international musicians, DJ’s, chefs, food producers, performing artists, painters, craftspeople, architects and more, ishinoko is shaping a new cultural movement accessible to all generations that is spreading across Japan and beyond.

ishinokoは、石川県滝ヶ原の里山エリアで開催される、音楽、食、芸術の祭りを企画、運営するコミュニティです。日本の国内外から集まった若者たちが、地元滝ヶ原村の人々と共に暮らし協力し合っています。

地元の多くの若者が都会へ出ていったことで衰退したこの村のお祭り。その伝統を復活させるため、私たちは活動しています。ishinokoは2020年に初開催され、今年で5周年を迎えます。国内外のミュージシャン、DJ、シェフ、食の生産者、パフォーミングアーティスト、画家、職人、建築家などが一堂に会するishinoko。本イベントは、あらゆる世代が参加できるよう、今までにない文化的な活動を作り続け、日本だけでなく世界へと広げています。
